Program Overview

Queen’s University, located in Kingston, Ontario, Canada, is home to the prestigious Queen’s School of Business and Queen’s Faculty of Engineering. Queen’s School of Business is very pleased to offer an excellent opportunity for employers in Asia to connect with third year students from the Bachelor of Commerce program, or the Faculty of Engineering, for summer internships. The Cansbridge-Queen’s Asia Internship Program will provide significant benefits for both the sponsoring companies and the students during this upcoming summer of 2012.

The Program... in short

  • Companies located in India, China, including Hong Kong, Taiwan, Japan, and Korea are encouraged to participate in this program.
  • Internship opportunities are targeted towards a select group of third year business and engineering students at Queen’s.
  • Once pre-approved students and pre-approved companies have reached an agreement in principal, the student will navigate the final internship approval process in consultation with the sponsoring company.
  • While students finalize their working arrangements with their sponsoring company, Queen’s School of Business will offer assistance in securing the necessary visas and work permits required.
  • Approved internships will have a duration of up to ten(10) weeks.
  • Students will receive an award from Queen’s of up to $600 CAN per week to cover expenses while participating in the internship.
