New scholarships aim to attract Western Canadian students

July 26, 2005

Starting in September 2006, two undergraduate students from Western Canada entering Queen's Commerce program will receive entrance scholarships valued at $2,500 each, thanks to the generous support of Queen's MBA'70 graduate John Watson and his family. Mr. Watson, who is Executive VP and CFO of Encana in Calgary, and his family established the scholarships to honour John's father-in-law Professor C.E. Law, Professor Emeritus of Queen’s School of Business. These new scholarships are part of the School's efforts to encourage the best and brightest students from all regions of Canada to enter Queen's Commerce program.
