Personalize Your Executive MBA Experience
In addition to the optional Personal Coaching, Career Coaching and Lifestyle Coaching, Queen's Executive MBA offers several opportunities to personalize your MBA experience and make it more relevant to you.
1. Strategic Electives
During the final module of the program, you are given the opportunity to choose one of three strategic electives, with the goal of deepening your understanding of the area that most closely aligns with your career aspirations. The three strategic electives are:
- Financial Strategy
- Marketing Strategy
- Project Management
2. Major Projects
Queen's Executive MBA includes two major projects, both of which provide additional opportunities to customize your MBA experience.
Independent Project
For the independent project, you may choose between two options:
- New Venture Project, which involves the creation of a business case and comprehensive business plan for a new stand-alone business or line of business within an existing organization
or
- Management Consulting Project, which involves analyzing a business challenge or opportunity and developing a comprehensive set of recommendations and implementation plans to address it.
Team Project
The second major project is the Global Business Project. This is a team project that provides you and your team the opportunity to travel to an international destination of your choosing, to complete an analysis and plan for a real-world international business opportunity. Travel and accommodation expenses are covered by your program fees.
3. Optional International Study Trip
You will have the opportunity to participate in a one-week course in International Business Management through one of our international business school partners. This past year, our participants went to CEIBS (China Europe International Business School) in Shanghai, China. In addition to academic content, the international study trip includes field visits to local companies.
4. Professional Designations
You may also choose to begin working on three professional designations while in the Queen's Executive MBA program. These designations will help you fully leverage the power of your Queen's MBA.
