Centre for International Management

The mandate of the Centre for International Management is to coordinate all international activity in the Queen’s School of Business. A large part of the activity with the Centre is the coordination of international study opportunities for both undergraduate and graduate students including exchange programs, international internships and individual study abroad initiatives. The Centre also works with faculty to facilitate research and teaching abroad as well as assisting visiting faculty who wish to come to the School for either a short term visit or sabbatical.

The Centre is also responsible for the curriculum and faculty appointments at the Queen’s International Study Centre at Herstmonceux, East Sussex, U.K., a 14th century castle owned and operated by Queen’s University.

Much of the activity in the Centre focuses on the creation of new partnerships with other institutions around the world, creating a vast network of business schools that are centres of excellence for business education and research. All of the activities of the Centre support the goal to further internationalize the School, and create a truly international environment.

The Queen's Commerce Exchange Program...in one word from a parent's perspective--"fabulous!". We have had the fortune of 2 of our children going on exchange recently--one to Australia and one to Europe. Not only did the opportunity allow exposure to an international curriculum, but the personal development was invaluable--travelling and living independently, while experiencing several foreign cultures. Both have developed personal relationships which will last for a lifetime. This Program is a key reason why our children selected Queen's Commerce.
